UPS, FEDEX, and USPS Shipping what you would have to look out for as a seller.

Shipping wth UPS, FEDEX, and USPS.

The two cheapest shipping companies are depending how you ship the product. For media and books it would be USPS media mail. For shipping items it would be USPS priority mail they have a fixed rate on priority mail.

Cheapest for UPS would be same state up to around 21lbs. It will be the same rate everywhere. It doesn't matter. If it's letters usps would be the cheapest but the letter will arrive in 3 days not next day anymore because policies have changed and they made things slower to save money supposedly.

The thing now is why are there so much defective electronics. Well, the workers are mistreated and hate their jobs. It doesn't matter it's USPS, UPS, and Fedex the workers just do not like their jobs. It takes one person to damage a package. They don't take good care of the packages because well, it is not their item. So you package get's squished and falls from 5 pallet high. Well, ask yourself this is your package well packed in Styrofoam or packing? If not I would buy insurance take pictures and make a claim with any of these companies. Some companies are easier to get money back. But yes damage items do happen and defective items do happen with damage of transport. Whose fault is it? Well, in most cases the transporter.

What can be done to protect yourself?

Buying insurance for the item and keeping close track of the item. The only items you don't have to worry about being damage is clothes. Unless it's subjected to serious heat or heavy rain storms.

Shipping companies make a lot of money due to the booming ecommerce business. The ecommerce companies takes big hit because they offer free shipping and have to compete globally with prices because all one has to do is type in the item on google to look for a better deal.

In summary, pack your things well and insure your items if it's over 100 dollars of value. I've seen boxes crushed on truck pallets and I seen the delivery drivers beat up boxes. This in the long run makes our business owners lose money. I hope this article has shed some reality on defective items bought online.
