GoPro HERO3: White Edition Review



I bought this for three reasons, the first being to film my newborn daughter on the go, the second to film my upcoming trip to China, and the third videos for my youtube channel.

After much research, I chose the GoPro White Edition for a couple of reasons. First and foremost the price. You can't get better video quality and versatility for under 200 dollars. The 1080p video is crisp and smooth and the audio is better than expected.

Iv had it for about a month and these are the pros and cons I have discovered.

PROS
  • Crisp smooth video quality.
  • PRICE
  • Nice time lapse mode
  • Easy to use.
  • Nearly Indestructible
  • Can be pulled out and start filming at a seconds notice.

CONS
  • Battery Life
  • Expensive mounts

There are 3 requirements for making amiibos you can use on your Switch/Wii U/3DS. NFC writing capability - generally this means only Android phones with NFC, but apparently it is possible to buy an NFC reader/writer for PC but it is more complicated. NFC Ntag215 stickers - these are little stickers that have a specific type of nfc chip in them that you can buy for really cheap. I bought mine on Amazon because I didn't want to wait for 1 month to get them in from China.  Mine came with 11 ntag215 stickers and got to my house in about 2 days   Only NTAG215 works, 213,216 and other common stickers DO NOT WORK. I found myself in the possession of both the 80ohm and 250ohm so hopefully this can be helpful to someone! The first thing I would like to note is that the 80ohm version has a straight cable whereas the 250ohm version has a coiled cable. This difference has a non-obvious impact on comfort: the coiled cable of the 250ohm version makes the headphones feel heavier. That's because there is more cable that "hangs" off your head. Because the headphones are already pretty lightweight themselves (~270 g) it does make a small but perceivable difference.
